Designed by HOK, the $350-million modernization of Sun Life Stadium, home of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, will create a world-class facility to attract marquis events while elevating the game day experience. Studio Tilt was responsible for an extensive branding exercise, developing wayfinding, signage and experiential design components to create brand recognition. Wayfinding was developed for the entire stadium, including exterior parking, concourses, concessions and within the seating bowl. Branding and signage elements infuse the Dolphins’ brand into a diverse array of new club, suite and social gathering spaces, while seamlessly integrating the brand identities of key corporate sponsors. Studio Tilt also worked closely with Sun Life Financial, the stadium’s naming rights sponsor, to find unique branding and signage opportunities. The design team reinforced the city’s culture and heritage with the incorporation of local artist murals. The renovations, scheduled to be complete for the 2016 season, will create moments of connection to the Dolphins’ brand in an environment that is authentic to Miami.
