In combination with HOK architects, Studio Tilt worked with the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes to renovate the locker rooms in the Reynolds Center on the University of Tulsa’s main campus. The Donald W. Reynolds Center is an 8,355-seat multi-purpose arena which houses basketball and volleyball teams. The arena opened in 1998 and was in need of a change architecturally and graphically. The project's main focus was the Men’s Basketball Locker Room and the main sports corridor that leads into the Reynolds arena.
Based on the Golden Hurricane’s themselves, the concept emphasises unity within the team. Specialty lighting was created for the locker room to represent being within the eye of the storm. Storm photography and gold accents were also major components used in creating a cohesive branded space.
